 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DRIP IRRIGATION KITS


1.  DRIP IRRIGATION KIT – 1 ACRE (80M x 50M).

     I.        SPACING

The regime takes into consideration line-to-line spacing of 1m as a standard horticultural spacing for most of row crops and emitters are spaced at 30cm from each other. This is applicable for Tomato, Okra, Maize, Peppers etc.

 

    II.        LAYOUT

We shall have 2 blocks in the entire farm. A block will have 50 Lines with 40M Long

 Blocks will be served by a manually operated 1 1/2” ball valve. Each block will be irrigated at a time.

 Main and Submain pipes will include 50mm HDPE Pipes PN6 and irrigation lines will be 16mm (D) 0.4mm (T) 30cm emitter space flat drip lines

  III.        FLOW RATE

A design flow rate of the system is 8,000 Ltr/Hr which is sufficient to one block and each emitter will be giving out 1.2 Ltr/Hr.

 

  IV.        STORAGE

15,000 Liters Storage tank is recommended to be placed 4M high at most elevated point of the farm.

 

Note;

It is assumed that water pumping system from source to storage tank is available to site. If required, we are able to advise.

 

2.  DRIP IRRIGATION KIT – ½ ACRE

     I.        SPACING

The regime takes into consideration line-to-line spacing of 1m as a standard horticultural spacing for most of row crops and emitters are spaced at 30cm from each other. This is applicable for Tomato, Okra, Maize, Peppers etc.

 

    II.        LAYOUT

We shall have 2 blocks in the entire farm. A block will have 25 Lines with 40M Long

Blocks will be served by a manually operated 1 1/4” ball valve. Each block will be irrigated at a time. 

Main and Submain pipes will include 40mm HDPE Pipes PN6 and irrigation lines will be 16mm (D) 0.4mm (T) 30cm space flat drip lines

  III.        FLOW RATE

A design flow rate of the system is 4,000 Ltr/Hr which is sufficient to one block and each emitter will be giving out 1.2 Ltr/Hr.

8,000 Liters Storage tank is recommended to be placed 4M high at most elevated point of the farm.

We shall have 1 block in the entire farm. A block will have 25 Lines with 40M Long

 Blocks will be served by a manually operated 1 1/4” ball valve and the whole farm will be irrigated at a time. 

Main pipe will include 40mm HDPE Pipes PN6 and irrigation lines will be 16mm (D) 0.4mm (T) 30cm space flat drip lines
