FLOATING SUBMERSIBLE PUMP POWERED BY SOLAR

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

1. PUMP SOLARIZATION
A. 18.5kW centrifugal borehole pump made of stainless-steel internal components with water lubricated rubber bearings and pressure equalizing diaphragm. The pump is directly coupled onto a sealed, liquid cooled 2-pole asynchronous 18.5kW (25HP) 3 phase Submersible motor. 

B. Control Unit – The controller VFD 22KW 3PH Pump controller is used for controlling of the pump system, monitoring of the operating states and incorporates the following alarm functions: over current, under voltage, over speed, over temperature, reverse polarity, low water. It has an integrated MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) which maximizes power use from PV modules. 
The unit is housed in a damp proof enclosure with external display for running data such as: input/output current/power/voltage, pump speed, temperature. It is an advanced AC/DC inverter specially designed for solar-powering AC motors in various water pumping applications. As well as a general upgrade of the electronics and functionality an important new feature is hybrid capability that enables concurrent operation with direct AC power from mains or generator supply while prioritizing solar supply. 

C. Solar Panels – 56No 625W MONOCRYSTALLINE SOLAR MODULE to provide a maximum of 35,000W output and a reserve capacity over the rated power requirement of the pump. 14 pieces each will be wired in series to provide the voltage requirement of the pump and 4 strings will be in parallel.

D. PV COMBINER SYSTEN – 2No PVDISC1000/40A with maximum of 4 strings each. They are specially designed for isolation of PV array strings from controllers or inverters in Photovoltaic (PV) applications during operation and maintenance. They feature fast-acting DC Circuit Breakers that protect installation against over currents and short-circuits on the DC side. When installed on each string of a multi-string PV array, they also protect against reverse currents in the event of shading or faults

E. PV COMBINER Enables parallel wiring of output of multiple PV disconnects in a multi-string installation for connection to solar pump controller or solar power inverter.

F. SOLAR MOUNTING STRUCTURE Aluminium 3m structure used to mount all 56 panels.

G. SYSTEM PROTECTION Lightning Arrestors and Earth rods used to protect system against thunderstorm.



2. FLOATING SUBMERSIBLE PUMP

A. COOLING SLEEVE
When the pump is installed in reservoirs, rivers, or lakes, it requires an external cooling jacket (flow generator) to ensure sufficient water flow across the motor surface, preventing motor overheating



B. FLOATING CAGE
Structure made of GS Pipes capable of handling 5No 250L Tanks half filled with water to make a structure float. Cooling Sleeve installed with a pump is clamped at the bottom of the cage. It has a legs to prevent pump settling on the mud when water is empty in the reservoir
